Jonathan Gardner, Esq. received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. While at UVA, Gardner founded the entertainment law review and interned at the Motion Picture Corporation of America, working on such hits as "Dumb & Dumber" and "Kingpin". Gardner joined the business affairs department of PolyGram Films and later served executive terms at Universal and Fox.
His practice focuses on independent filmmakers, working with both talent and producers. Gardner has worked on dozens of highly complex international film productions, most recently structuring the finance of David Cronenberg's COSMOPOLIS and Rodrigo Cortes' RED LIGHTS. He has spoken on numerous independent film finance panels and in 2010 was profiled by "Variety" in its Dealmakers Impact Report.
